BIOGRAPHY

Laura W. McClanahan practices art through an exploration of photographic media including photograms, photo cut outs and videos. Her work is a study of patterns of water symbolic of emerging life and thought. McClanahan is a 2007 graduate from MICA’s MFA in Studio Art program. She holds a BA from Lehigh University in architecture and an Art Ed. Certificate from Bank Street and Parsons. For the past 11 years she has taught art and architecture at Rutgers Preparatory School in New Jersey.
