Director's Bio

Cherí Landry, Director and Founder of Divergence Fine Art, received her bachelor in Fine Arts and Communication from Towson University in 2003. After graduating, she worked full-time for Gomez Gallery and assisted in the launch of Heineman-Myers Contemporary. She then moved on to become the Program Director of Art With a Heart, a non-profit organization that brings visual art programs to under-served communities in Baltimore. In 2006 Landry accepted a position as the Director of Gallery Imperato where she built a strong presence in the Baltimore art scene. After a long streak of noteworthy exhibitions she began laying the foundation for Divergence Fine Art. DFA emerged in 2010 as a combination of her experiences in two vastly different areas of the art world. Through DFA she is able to offer support and guidance to artists and collectors while continuing her curatorial work.

Landry has been a guest speaker for a number of schools including American University and Maryland Institute College of Art. She’s served on numerous fundraising committees for local non-profits such as Art With a Heart, Creative Alliance and Maryland Art Place, has been a guest judge for the American Art Awards since 2009, and recently served as a juror for School 33's Lotta Art, the 2011 Artscape Artist's Market, and the Slidell Art League.
